The heart behind Pelican Market comes from Jess and Tommy, who first met in college and became fast friends—a bond that lasted for more than twenty years. Their friendship carried them through countless chapters of life, filled with shared adventures, humor, and unwavering support. After two decades of being each other’s person, they finally married in 2024, proving that the best partnerships often begin with deep, lasting friendship.
 

In 2025, they moved to Sarasota to start a new chapter together. Inspired by Tommy’s background as a chef and the beauty of their coastal surroundings, they envisioned a neighborhood market that celebrated fresh, delicious food and genuine community. That vision became Pelican Market—a place where quality matters, hospitality feels personal, and every product is chosen with intention.
